10 Dessert Ideas Without Added Sugar

I don't know about you, but when fall comes, I crave all things cozy, including baking. You may feel like baking and eating desserts are off the table if you have insulin resistance, but they aren't! I am all for honoring cravings, even that sweet tooth. Denying cravings only makes us want them more, and sets us up for binging on the food we crave or another food.

Like so many things with insulin resistance, it's just about being smart with your choices so your blood sugar doesn't spike. For desserts, replacing refined sugar with a sweetner that has a lower glycemic index is key (here are some of my favorite sweeteners)! I've rounded up some desserts that don't have added sugar, but still taste delicious thanks naturally sweet ingredients. Enjoy!

No-Bake Apple Cake
